Cedar Point and Beach Day Trip

Timeline

Wednesday
  • 6:30 AM- Dropoff at Northgate, grab and go breakfast, leave for Cedar Point
  • 10 AM- Arrive at Cedar Point
  • All Day- Fun at Cedar Point, lunch and dinner in the Park
  • 10 PM- Leave Cedar Point for Airbnb
  • 10:30 PM- Arrive at Airbnb
  • Sleep at Airbnb
Thursday
  • Breakfast at the Airbnb
  • Late Morning- Head to East Harbor State Park for a beach day.
  • Bible study and a time of prayer on the beach
  • Grill out lunch on the beach
  • Afternoon- Fun and relaxation on the beach
  • 4 PM- Clean off, Drive Home
  • Travel meal for dinner
  • ~9 PM- Arrive back at Northgate for Pickup

Who

Students who have completed 5th grade- 12th grade

Cost

$65+
Registration Fees:
Early Rate: $65 (April or May)
Later Rate: $80 (June)

The registration fee includes park tickets, sleeping accommodations, travel, breakfasts and lunch at the beach.

Students will also need to bring more money for 3 meals (lunch and dinner at the park, travel stop dinner on Thursday) and optionally more for games, snacks, or additional items.

Drop Off: 6:30 AM at Northgate Church
Pick Up: 9 PM at Northgate Church

Meals

Wednesday Meals:
On Wednesday morning, we will provide a small continental breakfast before getting on the road. Students are responsible for providing their own lunch and dinner for Wednesday while in the Park, whether that be packing, buying, or a combination. We will have coolers available for use in a designated area for students who pack meals.

Recommended Wednesday meal strategy:
- Pack a lunch (sandwich, apple, granola bar, water bottle, etc) that is completely disposable in a disposable bag.
- Bring money for dinner.

Thursday Meals:
On Thursday, we will provide breakfast and lunch. Dinner will be a travel meal and students will need to bring cash for that.

Early Rate open until May 31.

Student Expectations


  • Respect others and treat them how I would like to be treated.

  • Respect the leaders/volunteers and cooperate with their instructions.

  • Use appropriate language.

  • Refrain from teasing, bullying, or unwelcome behavior.

  • Refrain from physically harmful or inappropriate contact.

  • Not engage in sexual/ physically intimate behavior or any public display of affection.

  • Notify a leader/volunteer if anyone has violated my physical or emotional boundaries or made me feel uncomfortable/unsafe.

  • Not bring any tobacco products, alcohol, vaping products, drugs or weapons.

  • Be respectful of the belongings of others.

  • Take full responsibility for my actions and understand that irresponsible behavior will result in disciplinary action (including, but not limited to immediate release for pick up)


Cedar Point-specific expectations:


  • Adhere to check-in policies and stay with leaders when required.

  • Stay in a group of 3 at all times.

  • Do not abandon another student/students from your group.

  • Be accommodating to all within your group (this may require you to occasionally go on rides that you are not as excited about, so that your friends can have fun.)


All Students must read and agree to these expectations before signing up to go on this trip.
